Freedom Fest 2005

Freedom Fest 2005 is an annual service project set in the background of the 9/11 weekend. The members of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Alpha Sigma Alpha & Zeta Tau Alpha will be spending the day BBQing & raising donations and canned goods for the St. James Food Kitchen as well as Children's Miracle Network, Susan G. Komen Foundation, and the Special Olympics.

Due to the recent disaster following hurricane Katrina, MO Delta has decided to donate all of our proceeds to the hurricane relief effort by giving to the Red Cross. In addition to the traditional can drive there will be a "bottled water" drive, also to be donated to the Red Cross.

Freedom Fest will take place at Rockhurst University (location TBA) on Friday, September 9, from 2pm-7pm. Food and drink are free, but the three Greek Chapters are asking that everyone who attends donate either a bottle of water, a canned good or $2. We are also accepting charitable donations from local businesses (to be made to the American Red Cross).

We feel the timing of the event will allow for the most participation from students, faculty, and
administration. It is our collective hope that such a simple idea, for such a worthy cause, will bring
forth a great turnout.

Any businesses who make donations by Thursday 9/8, 12pm, will be recognized on the day of the event!

If you have any questions about Freedom Fest, how to
donate, or suggestions to make it better, feel free to contact:
