From the Eminent Archon (EA):

On behalf of the brothers and alumni of the Missouri Delta Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, I cordially welcome you to our chapter web site!

Greek Life as a whole provides an excellent opportunity for an individual to join a group with common values and work towards achieving goals no single person could reach on their own. The power of many focused minds is always greater than that of one. For that reason, I feel strongly that each person should explore the opportunity to associate themselves with a social fraternity. By visiting our web site, you are taking the first step in learning what our organization offers and stands for. What I hope you take away with you is that Sigma Alpha Epsilon can offer you much more than merely being part of a social group or wearing Greek letters.

We are a fraternity that strives to promote the highest standards of friendship, scholarship, and service in each of our members.

  • As SAE’s we hold to the ideals of our founding fathers by not just becoming friends, but lifelong brothers. For evidence of this one only need experience the ongoing dedication of our alumni brothers.
  • Scholarship and academics are our top priorities within the chapter.  We feel strongly that the fraternity experience should enhance our college experience – not detract from it.
  • In line with the Jesuit tradition of service, we organize and participate in several chapter sponsored service events throughout the year. These events benefit a variety of groups including Our Little Haven and the Children’s Miracle Network. Through the planning and execution of these events, the qualities of service and charity are instilled in each member in a way that goes far beyond simple participation.

The 2006-07 school year is a very exciting time for the brothers of Missouri Delta! Since our recent return to campus, we have set about reestablishing what was once the strongest fraternity at Rockhurst. This past April we regained our charter and we couldn’t be more excited to continue to grow and excel as an organization.

It is easy for someone to join a club or an organization, and spend four years of college participating in their events. It is even more meaningful to know that we have joined a family of brothers devoted to serving others and taking care of one another. We hope that you will be able to see the advantages that SAE can offer you as well. With tremendous support from our alumni, and limitless resources and talent, we are destined to accomplish great things in the years to come. Like the Phoenix of legend, our chapter is experiencing a rebirth! As custodians of this rebirth, we are proud to add our names to SAE’s strong foundation and lengthy history of excellence at Rockhurst.

In closing, I would like to encourage you to read our fraternity’s creed, “The True Gentleman”, by John Walter Wayland. This creed is the cornerstone on which SAE seeks to build better men. By following this creed to the best of our ability, we strive to develop and grow as gentlemen who excel in all of our endeavors.

I invite you to look around our web site for more information on our chapter. If you have any questions or would like more information about our fraternity or Rockhurst’s vibrant Greek community, please feel free to call or e-mail me.
